# Brigadier Narendra Pratap Singh (Retd)

> Indian defence technology strategist and former Director of Artificial Intelligence in the Indian Army. A Kargil War veteran and second-generation officer of the Corps of Signals with more than three decades of service, he is CEO of Mindsprintz Consulting and the author of From Data to Decision Advantage: How Drones, AI and Networks are Redefining Warfare (2026).

Also written as Brig N P Singh, Brigadier NP Singh and Brig Narendra Pratap Singh (Retd). He writes and speaks on military artificial intelligence, unmanned and autonomous systems, drone and counter-drone warfare, electronic warfare, command and control, trust in autonomous systems, technological sovereignty, and how the Indian military identifies, prioritises, funds and buys capability.

- Served with a United Nations infantry battalion group in the Congo

- Founding member of the Army Design Bureau ecosystem; authored the first four editions of the Compendium of Problem Definition Statements
- Founder and chairman of the Army's first Regional Technology Node, Pune (Southern Command, launched November 2021)
- Head of the Management Information Systems Organisation, running one of the Army's largest ERP ecosystems
- Director of Artificial Intelligence, Indian Army
- Now: Chief Executive Officer, Mindsprintz Consulting, Delhi
